Peter is a husband to Megan, and a father to Peter (III), Andrew, and David. His background is in education, having served first as a science teacher and later as an assistant principal for his high school. Peter’s wife, Megan, led him to the Lord while they were both in college at Ohio State, a time where Peter mostly rock climbed and sometimes studied! Peter has since enjoyed freedom after freedom in the Lord as he has experienced more and more of God’s great love for him. One of Peter’s passions in life is speaking encouragement to the body of Christ. Whether with a couple in the DeWitt’s living room or from the pulpit, Peter loves to encourage, exhort, and equip his brothers and sisters in Christ! In addition to serving as lead pastor at Agathos, Peter continues to work in education as a consultant for schools in Columbus and Ohio. Peter and Megan view their ministry as a joint effort and also enjoy woodworking together in their well-equipped home woodshop.
Derrick and Erin Rollins
Derrick and Erin Rollins are parents to their daughter Margot, and have been leading worship together longer than they’ve been married. In fact, it was worship that brought them together six years ago when a mutual friend said “Hey, you’re both artists and worship leaders, you should date!” Both have been musicians for the majority of their lives, and worship leaders for many years before meeting one another. They love to foster an environment where others feel encouraged to give themselves entirely to glorifying the Lord, and where the Holy Spirit has room to minister to individuals and to the body. They both work as artists as well; Derrick as a graphic and web designer, Erin as a costume designer and manager. They also enjoy a myriad of other things like Apple products, classic novels, gardening, cat videos, home decorating, video games, movies and cooking. Margot specializes in friendship, tutus and song writing, and has a degree in cuteness.
Children’s Church Curriculum Director
Kara helps oversee the children's ministry for Agathos. Kara's heart for children's growth and development lead her to the teaching profession where she taught 4th grade and a variety of other elementary school ages. In addition to her role in children's ministry at Agathos, Kara is a full-time wife and mother of four. Kara's passion and vision for the Agathos children's ministry is to see the hearts of the kids grow and development in the light of how Great God Is. She is selective in curriculum to ensure that the truth of God's love and power are emphasized in the classroom, leaving no room for distracting religion. Kara has a warm personality and is always available to discuss the children’s ministry with parents or newcomers.
Leader, Women of Agathos (WOA)
Renee is married to Jon and has one son and two grandsons. She has a Ph.D. in psychology and taught in the psychology department at Phoenix College for over 25 years. She no longer teaches in the classroom but teaches online, works as a consultant for her son’s construction company, and serves at Agathos. Her passion is to see the body of Christ—and especially women—experience the promised land that God has for us. She spent 13 years writing a book on this topic, titled: “How an Ordinary Christian Experiences an Extraordinary God in the Wilderness.” She desires to see the woman of Agathos (WOA) become a “formidable force” to be used by God in advancing His kingdom.
