Agathos Cleveland

Welcome to Agathos Cleveland. We're a blend of hometown roots and long-term transplants. Our hugs and handshakes are intentional. The coffee is always fresh. Worship is simple and discussion is deep.  Our folks often linger long after time is ‘up’. This church has molded into quite a family, simply seeking after Jesus and growing together.

We invite you in!

We’d love to see you at a gathering!  For information about our gathering locations, contact us below.

What to Expect

A casual and friendly environment where we gather to sing songs to God, to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us through taking communion, and to hear rich, meaningful teaching from the Bible.

How long is the service?

Both Main Church and House Church services typically run two hours.  Main Church is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every  month, and House Church is held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday.

What about my kids?

Kids 6+ are invited to stay for the full service. After worship, younger Agathos kids can head to a safe, fun space to learn about Jesus—parents can walk them back, and our volunteers will take it from there.

What should I expect at Main Church?

Main Church service is live-streamed from our Columbus campus, with on-site leaders available to provide additional leadership and ministry to those who need it.

What do I wear?

At Agathos, you’ll see people wearing everything from professional to casual.  We believe it’s what’s inside that counts.  Come as you are.

What is House Church?

House Church is a unique opportunity to go deeper in your discipleship journey.  House Church is a smaller group of believers (the Church) meeting together to worship and learn…in a House.  Gatherings usually include worship, facilitated discussion, and prayer.

What happens on 5th Sundays?

Whenever a month has a 5th Sunday,  we use that time for special gatherings (think barbecues, chili cookoffs and community yard sales!)

How do I visit a House Church?

Our House Church locations rotate regularly.  Want to visit a house church?  We’d love to have you!  Contact us at [email protected] to get connected.

Leadership

Sam and Kelly Bayzie

Agathos Cleveland Hub Leaders

Sam and Kelly were both raised in Northeast Ohio churches. From an early age, they have both had a history of saying 'yes' to Jesus. Sam served for years in overseas missions in Central America and Kelly built local business in the heart of impoverished Columbus neighborhoods.

Years later, both Sam and Kelly said ‘yes’ to moving back to their hometown of Cleveland. They met on the first day of a Bible study and married soon after.

Together, they continue to live out the call of simple obedience to Jesus. They desire to keep saying ‘yes’ to Him with willing hearts… and invite others to do the same!
