What to Expect

A casual and friendly environment where we gather to sing songs to God, to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us through taking communion, and to hear rich, meaningful teaching from the Bible.

How long is the service?

Both Main Church and House Church services typically run two hours.  Main Church is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every  month, and House Church is held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday.

What about my kids?

We love having our kids join us during the music portion of service.  After worship we have safe and fun Agathos Kids spaces where ages 2 - 6th Grade can learn about Jesus.

How do I visit a House Church?

We'd love to have you visit!  Because our House Church locations rotate regularly, we recommend visiting a Main Church service first. Once there, we can connect you to a House Church in your area

What do I wear?

At Agathos, you’ll see people wearing everything from professional to casual.  We believe it’s what’s inside that counts.  Come as you are.

What is House Church?

House Church is a unique opportunity to go deeper in your discipleship journey.  House Church is a smaller group of believers (the Church) meeting together to worship and learn…in a House.  Gatherings usually include worship, facilitated discussion, and prayer.

What happens on 5th Sundays?

Whenever a month has a 5th Sunday,  we use that time for special gatherings (think barbecues, chili cookoffs and snow tubing!)

Leadership

Peter DeWitt

Lead Pastor

Peter is a husband to Megan, and a father to Peter (III), Andrew, David, William and Evangeline. His background is in education, having served first as a science teacher and later as an assistant principal for his high school.

Peter’s wife, Megan, led him to the Lord while they were both in college at Ohio State, a time where Peter mostly rock climbed and sometimes studied! Peter has since enjoyed freedom after freedom in the Lord as he has experienced more and more of God’s great love for him.

One of Peter’s passions in life is speaking encouragement to the body of Christ. Whether with a couple in the DeWitt’s living room or from the pulpit, Peter loves to encourage, exhort, and equip his brothers and sisters in Christ!

Mark Collier

Associate Pastor

Mark is a husband to Lois, and between the two of them have four children: Carson, Charlotte, Paul and Adrienne.  They also cherish two grandchildren, Asher and Avi.

Mark was a high school math teacher and football coach in central Ohio for 32 years, the last 16 as a Calculus teacher and Head Football Coach at Heath High School.  He became a part of the Agathos congregation a year before his retirement in 2020.  Mark and Lois found that their giftings complimented each other very well in ministry, and their love of the Lord and ministry of the saints is what brought them together as they approached the golden years of their lives.

Mark’s passion has gone from coaching football to coaching the church as Lois has helped him to increase his capacity to host the presence of the Holy Spirit in his everyday walk.  As a couple, their mission is to help all those they come into contact with find the gold that the Lord has deposited in them!

Derrick and Erin Rollins

Worship Leaders

Derrick and Erin Rollins have been leading worship together for longer than they’ve been married! They love to foster an environment where others feel encouraged to give themselves entirely to glorifying the Lord.

In addition to music, both Derrick and Erin work as designers in fields spanning app and web development, live performance and interiors. They are parents to daughter Margot and cat Luka.

Kara Mandeville

Kids and Youth

Kara leads the Agathos children’s ministry along with her husband, Joe. She is passionate about seeing kids experience God’s goodness and grow in their knowledge of who He is!

Kara enjoys encouraging the children as they routinely share testimonies of His work in their lives, both among their peers and in the main church service. Kara’s passion for children led her to become a grade school teacher until the birth of her first child.

Today, Kara is a full-time wife and stay-at-home mom of four. And because having four kids is not enough fun, she also cares for two cats and two dogs (as well as any stray that comes her way).
