You have received an INHERITANCE!

"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:19)
God’s supply is according to (Greek: kata) His riches. Kata has the sentiment of “stemming from, coming from, flowing from, according to.” All of those would be a true expression about God’s supply. His supply for us flows from His riches - from His resources. It is also true to say that His supply for us is according to the standard of His riches. In other words, He doesn’t use our need as the reference frame for His supply … instead the reference frame of His supply is HIS RICHES in glory. God’s supply to us on earth is according to His riches in Heaven.
There is an old story of a secular ruler who’s entourage passed by a beggar along the side of the road. As he passed the beggar, the ruler tossed him a gold coin to which the attendants of the ruler said “why did you give him gold when copper would have suited him?” The ruler responded “copper would have suited him, but gold suited me.” God supplies all our needs according to his riches in glory!

All of the supply of Heaven is ours because of our position in Christ as believers.
Ephesians 1:11 says we have obtained an inheritance! Col. 1:12 says the Father has QUALIFIED us to be partakers of of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Likewise “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” Our YES and AMEN is found in the IN HIM POSITION. It is our position in Christ that has qualified us as sons of God and therefore possessors of an inheritance!
The inheritance we have received is so great that Jesus said we would need Holy Spirit’s help to comprehend and receive all the supply that God has for us! Paul knew this and said “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” (1 Cor. 2:12)
Jesus prophesied all of this in John 16:12-15 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and
He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

Jesus’ inheritance has become your inheritance.
That’s grace! Holy Spirit says “this is the grace supply available to you.” Faith says “I receive the grace you’ve supplied to Me!”
Speaking of the New Covenant, Jesus said "And in that day you will ask (Gr: BEG) Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask (Gr: demand as something DUE TO YOU) the Father in My name He will give you.”
A king threw a gold coin to a beggar who deserved copper at best. We did not deserve Christ, but God has already delivered His Own Son over to be crucified for me and you. How will He not - with Him - also give us all things?!?
We have not because we ask not ... "Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
