A prophetic word that lead to healing!

I had a great time last night at a worship event downtown. I had no idea what to expect, and I'm glad I didn't. God did far more than I think I could have even imagined anyway.

I had been praying that God would show me somebody that might need healing and I said, "Lord, maybe I could see somebody on my drive down that has a physical ailment that would indicate somebody that needs healing."

Most of the time when you're driving down the road, you don't necessarily see people that have a physical ailment. You're in your car, right? But I promise you, I was driving and there was a car pulled off on the side of the road and a guy got out. I saw him stretching his back, bending his back and pointing at his back. Then his wife got out of the car and she came over and was pushing on his back.

I laughed afterwards. I don't know why I didn't just stop and pray that HIS back would be healed, but I just kept driving. I was saving it for later in the night, I guess.

So I got there and it came time for a ministry moment and I shared that story with everyone. I asked if there was anybody that had a sore back. There was a man in the back that raised his hand so I said, "Are you able to come up?" and he said, "Yes." So he got up and he walked to the front.

I thought Peter would come over and pray, and I thought Kenton would come over, and I thought some other people would come over, but no one was coming.... and I had no idea what to do. He was standing there expectant. He was expecting something, so I said, "Where does it hurt?" He replied, "The pain is up here" and pointed to the top of his back. So I put my hands on his back, near his neck, and I was praying that the tension would go and that there would be healing.

I was praying for muscles. I was praying for vertebrae. I was praying for nerves. I mean, I was just praying for everything. I was praying for his neck, for his back, for his shoulders. I was praying for his shoulder a lot.

I noticed the people around me moving and they called for anybody that needed healing and other people came forward. They were praying and then everybody started sitting down again. And this guy was still standing there and I thought he was kind of swaying with the music, but then I kind of felt like his knees start to weaken and so I moved my hands from his shoulders to under his arms and I caught him. Then he stood back up so I started praying again.

I didn't know if I should release him. Everybody else was sitting down at that point. He turned around and he had tears in his eyes and he said, "Thanks so much, that was incredible" and he sat down. Then after the service he came up to me and he had tears in his eyes and he said, "Why did you pray for my shoulder?"

He said "I clearly told you my back is what I needed prayer for." I thought I'd done something wrong. He said, "Why did you do that?" I said, "I don't know. I just felt like I should pray for your shoulder." He said, "The reason why I asked you to pray for my back was because my back hurt, but my shoulder did too, but I had given up all hope on my shoulder. So I didn't even think of it."

He said, "Not only did my back get healed but I tore ligaments in my shoulder playing rugby in Ireland," so he had this beautiful accent as he was sharing this with me.

Wow, it was just incredible. I was just so blown away. I thought, Lord, you answer prayer and we serve a God who heals!
